If you’ve ever bought or sold a home before, you may well have gone through a ‘nightmare’ experience. In fact, it unfortunately tops the list for life’s unsettled experiences, ahead of divorce and losing your job. We believe it doesn’t have to be that way. Imagine if you could buy or sell a home in a much more streamlined way that you control? So much so that you’ll feel freer to move around from home to home with more fluidity and less fear.  We call this the Settled way.

We’re building a team of pioneers who want to connect the dots in a way that no one’s attempted before. To transform an age-old problem and leave us in a Settled state of mind.

Our Team

On the surface, property sounds pretty capitalist right? We’re certainly not just focused on revenues. Settled is a team of people who are driven by bringing about a world with less complexity where wellbeing and happiness are valued.

Being run by a former Google exec means we’re passionate about culture, collaboration and technology’s ability to impact the world.  We’re still pretty fresh but we’re VC funded and have ambitious expansion plans.

The Role

To fulfill the Settled story, you will inspire home buyers and sellers that there is a better way. As we are changing minds about new methods, we need the type of content specialist who could be described as the 'expert explainer'. You will demystify in an industry filled with confusing terms, jargon and processes. You love delving into the complexity of a technical process and then unpacking it into a simple explanation.

As part of a small and friendly team, you will have a huge scope from day one. You will be core to the development of the Settled brand.  You will make sure we brilliantly execute the Settled tone of voice in everything we do: customer value propositions, onsite copywriting, customer emails, customer call scripts, digital ads, social media campaigns, even terms & conditions.

You enjoy the opportunity to move between tasks constantly as you will be solely responsible for all of our brand comms and content. You're a problem solver, don't accept the conventional, and driven to prove the difference that good writing makes.

Reporting into the Chief Marketing Officer, the Content Manager will:

  • Take ownership and define a content strategy that supports new customer acquisition and brand engagement
  • Work along the Design team to deliver a compelling online experience, ensuring the Settled tone of voice is seamless across all channels
  • Create and manage persuasive content across: website, thought leadership articles, social media, emails, call scripts, blog
  • Deliver evergreen content that answers the audience needs so well that it ranks well in SEO and inbound links

  • Demos of previous writing (ideally explaining a product or process)
  • In 250 words or less, what you would improve about the current editorial style and content on www.settled.co.uk
